Candidasa and other areas around the eastern region of Bali are home to well-preserved ancient villages and mysterious temples that help make Bali's list of tourist attractions. Due to its location away from the popular beach resorts in the south of the island, Candidasa and most of eastern Bali offer landscapes of rugged beauty and relaxed seascapes with treasures hidden beneath their waves.

The main road of Jalan Raya Candidasa meanders through the region, helping you navigate the less-explored and exotic aspects of remote eastern Bali. Candidasa only serves as a great stopover on trips to the northeastern parts of the island, where some of Bali's top dive sites reside, such as Amed and Tulamben.
